[Beta Release] Crystal v4.13 - Release Date: Oct 28, 2026

This release makes it easier to welcome back credit customers with new plans after payoff and adds full gift card issuance tracking, faster barcode scanning at POS, and simpler online sales for nonstock items.

POS

  • Care Plan Reminder at POS. Salespeople can be prompted to offer a care plan when a stock item is added to a transaction. Admins set the prompt question and the nonstock category that holds care plans under Admin > Customize > Care Plan Reminder. Selecting Yes opens a filtered list of care plans. The selected plan is added as its own line item.

Gift Cards

  • Gift Card Issuance Tracking. The gift card detail page now shows when a card was created and when it was sold as separate dates. New Issued On, Issuance Transaction #, and Client fields link each card to the POS transaction it was sold on. A card that has already been sold can no longer be sold again. At POS, only issued cards can be used as payment for Sold card types.

Rewards

  • Customer Bonus Rules. Retailers can now award bonus points when a customer takes a specific action. A new Customer Bonus Rules card in Rewards Settings supports triggers such as Email Captured and First Purchase Completed. Bonus points are added to the customer's regular points balance. Each award appears in Rewards History as "Bonus - [Trigger]."

Accounts Receivable

  • Switch Credit Plans After Payoff. You can now assign a new credit plan to a customer once their existing plan is fully paid off and the balance reaches $0. Your previous credit plan and payment history will remain available for reference, allowing you to manage new credit plans and historical information within the same customer profile.

🔧 Enhancements & Optimizations

Inventory

  • Bulk Select in Unassigned Inventory. A new select-all checkbox is available in the Unassigned Inventory view. Users can select every item on the page at once and move them to a case. Individual items can still be deselected.

  • Split Items Removed From Their Original Inventory Case. When an item is added to a manufacturing record and split into components, it is now removed from its original inventory case. Case counts no longer need manual correction. Remaining components still move to Unassigned Inventory.

POS

  • Scan and Search by Barcode #. POS inventory search and the Scan button now include the Barcode # field. If a scan finds no match, users can type into the search field right away. If a scan matches more than one item, a list appears so the user can pick the right one.

Gift Cards

  • Gift Card Payments Can No Longer Exceed the Card Balance. Gift card balances now update as soon as a card is applied to a payment. The same card can no longer be applied repeatedly to push it into a negative balance. Previously, the balance only updated after the transaction was created.

  • Send to Store Credit and Void Corrections. Send to Store Credit now sends the card's actual remaining balance. Voiding a Send to Store Credit now reverses the exact amount sent and removes it from the client's store credit. These fixes apply to clients without the Factor4 integration. For Factor4 clients, the Void option has been removed from a card's first issuance row. This prevents inflated balances and incorrect totals.

Reports

  • Sales Dashboard Accuracy Fixes. The Today filter now shows each transaction's actual time in the store's local time zone. My Sales now credits each salesperson with only their share of a split sale. The Last Month filter now includes every day of the previous month.

  • Daily Summary Dates Corrected. Transactions on the Daily Summary no longer show a close date one day later than the actual sale. Dates now follow the location's configured time zone.

Accounting

  • QuickBooks Online Sync for Hidden Locations. For clients utilizing our General Ledger, journal entries from hidden locations, such as an Office location, can now sync to QuickBooks Online. Users with permission to view hidden locations can select and sync them from QBO Sync. Previously, these syncs failed.

  • Journal Entries for Interest Charge Adjustments. For clients utilizing our General Ledger, adjustments to interest charges now create journal entries. An increase debits Accounts Receivable and credits Interest Income. A decrease, waiver, or removal posts the reverse.

  • Rewards Journal Entries. For clients utilizing our General Ledger, rewards activity now posts to Rewards Expense and Rewards Liability accounts. Entries are created when points are earned, redeemed, or manually adjusted. Voids, returns, exchanges, and refunds reverse the original entry using the original point value.

E-Commerce

  • Nonstock Products Sell Online Without Extra Setup. Allow Backorder is now checked automatically when a nonstock product is marked Include on E-Commerce. Online orders for nonstock items, such as gift cards and warranty plans, now sync to Crystal without extra setup. Web orders no longer require inventory assignment unless Inventory Assignment Required is turned on for the associating nonstock.
